our breakfast nook

Today I’ll be sharing some details about the breakfast nook in our home- another one of my favorite spaces! When we first purchased our home this room looked very different. Originally, it was more of an extension of the kitchen, and it also had a door to the backyard. We decided to close off the door to the backyard and turn it into another window to let in more natural light. This also allowed us to add in a banquette, which really accentuates the shape of the room and also provides additional seating. Sourcing a table was the most difficult part- we knew that we wanted a large, circular table that could hold ten people and we could not find one that we truly loved. Our friend Lonnie Grover, an extremely talented designer, ended up saving the day by designing and building us the table of our dreams. He owns Process Home, a boutique design firm that works with you to design and install beautiful spaces in your home. Our breakfast nook is a fun, cozy place to gather with our friends and family and truly completes our home.
